NYSOMS Mission
The New York State Osteopathic Medical Society will promote the
public health by advancing the art and science of the osteopathic
medical philosophy and practice through continuing medical education
programs, and will advance the knowledge of its members by the
collection, publication and dissemination of information beneficial to
the profession of osteopathic medicine and to osteopathic physicians and
students as well as the public, to the end that professional standards
may be maintained and improved, and that hereby, the public health may
be conserved and human pain and suffering may be assuaged.
