NYSOMS Announces Poster Competition Winners
[4/17/2017] - Close to 80 osteopathic medical interns residents and students participated in NYSOMS' annual Poster Competition, held in conjunction with ROC-NY 2017. Interns and residents were eligible to submit case studies or experimental research, while students were limited to experimental research only. ROC-NY President's Reception plus NYITCOM Alumni Reunion equals a Great Night!
[4/17/2017] - One of the highlights of ROC-NY is NYSOMS' President's Reception and Awards Ceremony, co sponsored by the NYITCOM Office of Alumni Affairs, where we honor those who have made an impact on health care in New York State. This year, NYSOMS gave "Unsung Hero" awards to four longtime directors of medical education at hospitals that deliver osteopathic residency training. Collectively, they have taught and mentored hundreds, if not thousands, of osteopathic medical students and residents. more
NY DOH Announces Attestation Guidance for Mandatory Pain Management CME
[4/13/2017] - The New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) has recently released attestation information to report completion of the mandated CME Pain Management Course. To be in compliance, prescribers must file the self-attestation by July 1, 2017, and once every three years thereafter. Change in DEA Renewal Notification Starting January 1, 2017
[12/19/2016] - Effective January 1, 2017, the DEA is eliminating the informal grace period which the agency has previously allowed for registrants to renew their registrations. more
